What a nice picture we took! It has a special value for me, because my parents could make the trip to Oulu to visit me, and that gave me an energy boost, that honestly, it was needed.
Regarding the monument, I learnt that it was made by Kaarlo Mikkonen in 1987 as an honor to the bobbies that once patrolled the market. In addition, it is the only public display of this sculptor.
