Can you feel your group? Research on how empathy unfolds in collaboration

I decided to put my research interest in empathy, since I consider this capability as ESSENTIAL for the times we are living in. As an posible future educator, I believe that empathic skills should be inherently embedded in the curriculum and that future students emotional state and wellbeing should be ensured all along their schooling.

My aim is not to split the world into categories according to the empathic rates of individuals, but to understand how empathy can be visualize and make teachers aware of the need of a more comprehensive pedagogy. Nowadays collaborative learning and other forms of peer learning are widely spread, but the  need to make those experiences emotionally valuable goes hand in hand with empathic skills.
